What is Paper Embossing?
Paper Embossing is a way of creating raised designs on surfaces. In contrast to debossing, which is sunken into the surface, embossing is raised from the surface.
With the application of heat and pressure, paper and cardboard are sandwiched between two custom cut dies. The back of the surface is stamped into, creating a raised design that extends from the front.
Embossing allows for a three-dimensional branding, a raised depiction of your design. This is a more premium decorative option, that provides a sharp and distinctive look.
Available in simple plain "blind embossing", ink and foil stamping can also be combined with embossing to add colour, depth, and a metallic effect.
As Embossing requires a thicker and higher quality material, Embossing is available only on cardboard and thick, high quality paper.
